The computer is connected to my TV via the HDMI port. Whenever I play any video on the computer the audio plays but every so often the sound will break up. Is there anything I should be doing to get audio through HDMI working properly all the time?

You are running the pipewire 1.0.0 version which has some issues. I would go to MX Package Installer and upgrade it to 1.4.5 in the Test repo.

The other thing I have seen - If your sound is coming from the internet (ie online sound or video) when this happens, then you may want to look at what your USB wifi adapter is doing. ( ie test using a wire for a bit and see if you can repeat this issue there.) I have seen ipv6 cause this issue, so a disable on that might also help.

I've upgraded pipewire as you said but the issue with the audio through HDMI still exists.

I've used other OS's and this issue does not exist, it also does not exist when watching videos offline.

The last distro I have tried is AntiX 23 and the issue does not exist. There must be something in MX specificley that is causing this issue with audio through HDMI whilst streaming online.

The only other thing I can suggest is to try a liquorix kernel. ( 6.9 or 6.12 ) The liquorix kernels seem to be better for things that are laggy and issues like jitter etc.. so it may help with this.
