Although not as much as the Yankees do and the Tigers currently are :rotfl:
HP 15; ryzen 3 5300U APU; 500 Gb SSD; 8GB ram
HP 17; ryzen 3 3200; 500 GB SSD; 12 GB ram
Idea Center 3; 12 gen i5; 256 GB ssd;

In Linux, newer isn't always better. The best solution is the one that works.

Last time it was Debian 12 on 10 June 2023
https://lists.debian.org/debian-announc ... 00001.html
and then MX 23 on 31 July 2023
https://mxlinux.org/blog/mx-23-libretto-now-available
I'm just a user not a dev so I have no idea how long it will be this time.

I have been using Debian Trixie (13 sounds like bad luck) for a while. As a simple user it feels solid. No glaring problems. My biggest complaint is the Debian live images. They come with language support for every language imaginable. I have cleaned so much localization support, fonts and input support (about 400 packages, no kidding).

What I like about Debian Trixie is apt 3.0. The output in the terminal is nicer to look at. Also the default Debian Trixie artwork is pretty nice and calm to look at.

With the help of duct tape, Systemback and Calamares I was able to make snapshots, but the process isn't smooth. Looking forward to MX-25, whenever it arrives.

... 2 weeks left before Debian13 ... then 2 weeks left for the first MX25 beta version ... then 2 weeks left for the beta2 ... then 2 weeks left for the relase of MX25 ... and about 2-3 months left to have a MX25 stabilised before production.

@el_octogono The devs will release beta versions first for everyone to try out and report back any issues on their end.

Once the team feels most of the bugs are ironed out, they will release the final version.

Keep an eye out for the MX-25 beta threads. There will probably be three separate ones for each desktop ISO. XFCE, KDE and fluxbox.
This is my Fluxbox . There are many others like it, but this one is mine. My Fluxbox is my best friend. It is my life.
I must master it as I must master my life. Without me, my Fluxbox is useless. Without my Fluxbox, I am useless.

And that's the best answer. Personally, I've never looked forward to new versions, enjoying the current one. To be honest, I'm very cautious about updates. There's no rush. Really :)

You forget about the alphas, but that is behind the scenes. And RCs after the betas, sometimes also 3.
