VLC closes after installing ** every time I install Catfish file Search

- MX_Linux 23.6_KDE is my Debain base O/S
- Qemu Libs installed (Semi-Complete-Set)
- NVIDIA libs
Currently Running QEMU Virtual Machines for daily use, using MX_Linux_23.6_KDE for base O/S on main Drive..
Base system is untouched apart from adding QEMU & NVIDIA Libs
*** Looking at ‘Catfish’ file search error with VLC, ‘Catfish’ was recently installed on Main Operating System, to sort through Electronic Book Collection & other files with ease. Now VLC crashes on startup.
Conflict, VLC flicks open and whisks away in 1 complete second, on my screen. Closes.
I know this illegal action is from the recent ‘Catfish’ install that caused the error/conflict on my current MODIFIED MX_LINUX_23.6_KDE setup, there is nothing else at all that causes it.
What would be conflicting ? I can definitely reinstall in no time, the whole lot, VM’s are backed up .qcow2 files. I can reinstall every time I use catfish, if need-be that I want to use it, I thought maybe the answer is simple to find here in the forums.
I am only asking if someone knows the answer, not a discussion.

**[temporary solution, possibly permanent]
(Seriously considering small-separate V.M. to mount external Drives onto and run catfish with , without conflict. Another option perhaps, find another file search engine that works better than catfish GUI ; Catfish works real good at my home)
[ ??? Grep & Pipe In Terminal ??? No way, I want a decent GUI with the ease of use with cursor for my electronic books ]
