I have been trying for two weeks to install MX on a dell 27-7710 aio. I have also tried Antix.
If secure boot is on, grub will run and i can install but, the system will not boot with secure boot on and , without secure boot on grub will not run. A catch 22.
I don't know what the difference is but pc linux os will boot instantly from the usb and install in minutes. Not my favorite OS though.
My computer is running a i7-1255U x 12 with 64 Gb ram, 1 Tb nvme.
I am not looking for a response. Just wanted to make you aware of the problems with MX and Antix. I normally use both but, until the boot issue is fixed i will just use MX on my trusty T-430.

If you would like to try to work through this, then lets get a QSI from you ( MX Menu, Quick System Info, Copy for Forum, Paste here - even from the usb load )

I do remember an issue with a dell I work with a while back and as I recall the only way I could get it to start on secure boot was to go into the bios and set it to specifically use the linux load.

Normally, I just disable secure boot and then boot the usb and install.

In order to install Linux on that computer you must configure the SATA controller in the bios to use ACHI first.
