YouTube will not play any Live video. Brave browser will play Live video and I downloaded Firefox from Flatpak and that plays YT Live videos. I'm using MX Linux KDE

Have you tried with extensions disabled?
This is my Fluxbox . There are many others like it, but this one is mine. My Fluxbox is my best friend. It is my life.
I must master it as I must master my life. Without me, my Fluxbox is useless. Without my Fluxbox, I am useless.

You can try refreshing Firefox. also disable extensions. Maybe turn off hardware acceleration.

I did a refresh and disabled the 3 extensions and turned off hardware acceleration. It plays non live YT videos but not live videos but the flatpak version works fine so I guess I will stick with that until MX Linux 25 comes out and Brave works fine also. Thanks

Is ffmpeg installed? It's installed on my system by default.

One way to check is:

Code: Select all

apt list --installed ffmpeg
Be sure to re-launch Firefox if you do install it.

You might also try starting firefox from a terminal and see if it shows any error messages when you try to play videos.

Also no problem with YT videos here. I also recommend running "firefox" from a terminal and see if errors come up.
