K3b Problem

I've used K3b many times before, prior to this installation, and never had an issue with it recording CDrs,for music. I opened it for the first time,on this latest install, and it says "insufficient permissions for cd record executable: /usr/bin/wodim
telling me to check my permissions, which I did, but, there's a lock key,and I'm the administrator, the only one that uses this machine.
I also get the message "insufficient permission for cdrdao executable: /usr/bin/cdrdao.
What do I need to do,or change...? 9_9 I'm including my machine system snapshot. Thanks ahead of time.

See Problem with k3b in 18.04 releases " cdrecord has no permission to open the device"

I was able to duplicate this issue on MX 23.6 KDE.

Is a post-install tweak possible @Stevo?

Does the command in that link work, and is it also outlined in K3B's "Settings -> Configure k3b -> programs -> Permissions "tab"?

Yes, the commands work and fix the issue.

The linked article description of K3b's Settings is presented to the end user. 1st use fails, 2nd succeeds.

I ran the one fix in command console, but now, I got this message :
Insufficient permissions for growisofs executable: /usr/bin/growisofs
K3b uses growisofs to actually write DVDs. Without growisofs you will not be able to write DVDs. Make sure to install at least version 5.10.
Solution: Check permissions via Settings -> Configure K3b... -> Programs -> Permissions. If K3b's default value is set make sure you are member of "operator" group.

Still can't get it to work......
