WINE usually releases a new wine-staging every 2 weeks. The latest version is 10.6.
MX has it in the test repo but it hasn't been updated since version 10.1.
Did something change?
What's up with WINE?

Re: What's up with WINE?
Have you filed a package request in the appropriate forum asking for it to be updated?

No. I am only curious why it has been updated every 2 weeks for years and suddenly stopped. Maybe a dependency or something changed and later versions no longer work in MX/Debian 12?

I think there have been some package build issues with newer Wine-Staging versions and breakage with some apps, of course one person's experience may be great with a certain version of Wine-Staging and another's will be a disaster. Wine is something that is like kernels, a newer version is not always better and if your desired Windows programs are working I advise people to 'apt-mark hold' and update very carefully. On several occasions I have had to roll back to a previous working version.
Re: What's up with WINE?
The MX maintainer asked me to look at it, since the builds fail ever since 10.1 on MX, but I haven't figured out why yet.
MXPI = MX Package Installer
QSI = Quick System Info from menu
The MX Test repository is mostly backports; not the same as Debian testing

OK thanks for the info. I figured it was probably something like that.
