Bluetooth on MX 23.6

#1 Post by oliverjames »

My recent update to 23.6 on my laptop works very well, with the exception of bluetooth. I have a much loved Logitech K810 keyboard that bluetooth connects faultlessly to Mint XFCE 22.1, however MX doesn't even see it.

Could anyone please suggest how I can fix this?

Did you launch Bluetooth Manager to scan (trust, pair)?

Try using MXPI to install a Liquorix kernel but be prepared to experiment a bit to get the best fit. The 6,9,12-2 would be a good start. There's ample evidence here in the forums that the Liquorix kernels perform better than the default Debians do when confronted with wireless issues.
HP 15; ryzen 3 5300U APU; 500 Gb SSD; 8GB ram
HP 17; ryzen 3 3200; 500 GB SSD; 12 GB ram
Idea Center 3; 12 gen i5; 256 GB ssd;

In Linux, newer isn't always better. The best solution is the one that works.

I agree with j2mcgreg on the liquorix kernel. And also if you have not already seen it, i would have a look at this post, that keyboard looks like may have some issues.

https://github.com/pedrogaudencio/logitech-K810-pairing

also.. can you see and attach other BT devices ?
*QSI = Quick System Info from menu (Copy for Forum)
*MXPI = MX Package Installer
*Please check the solved checkbox on the post that solved it.

Thanks to you and j2mcgreg. I'll look at both of those.

I can see and attach other BT devices, Bose Mini Soundlink, Logitech H800 headset... without difficulty so it appears that the culprit could be the K810 keyboard, shame as it's a lovely keyboard to type on.

This certainly sounds like its some weirdness in the keyboard. Try that link.. it sounds like he has found a way to 'force it'.
