MX Installer - right click disk partition layout choices [Solved]

I notice there are a few options and wonder if the 'Reset layout' menu function differs from the Clear Layout button

The below 4 items are what I seek info on.

• Add partition –
• New layout –
• Reset layout -
• Layout builder -

The installer cannot modify the layout already on the drive. To create a custom layout, mark the drive for a new layout with the New layout menu action or button [pictured above]. This clears the existing layout.

• Add partition - adds a partition to the selected disk layout.
• New layout - like the clear layout button - removes all entries for that disk for a new layout.
• Reset layout will restore the selected disk's entries to its current on-disk layout and discard any changes.
• Layout builder is a GUI tool that assists in creating a layout.
