Difference between MX Linux KDE and XFCE (ahs) .iso

From the MX Linux Website,
MX-23.5_x64 “ahs”, an “Advanced Hardware Support” release for very recent hardware, with 6.6 kernel and newer graphics drivers and firmware. 64 bit only. For newer hardware.

MX-23.5_x64 KDE, with the 6.1 kernel and ahs repos enabled.
So, with the XFCE version you get a newer kernel and newer GPU drivers (ddm-mx takes care of that). I am curious about what newer "firmware" means and after an update is it all just the same (except the kernel, it gets updates for 6.1). Thanks!

all the ahs things apply to the kde release, except the default kernel.

Also, ddm-mx will also install Nvidia drivers on standard MX 23 and 21, but not everyone is going to be using proprietary Nvidia video drivers.
