For me gnome-calculator used to work just fine, but for the past few weeks (or couple of months?) it immediately freezes upon trying to run it. It is non-responsive to clicking anywhere in its window and you can't enter data with the keyboard. To close the non-responsive window I end up right clicking its icon in the panel and selecting close, which brings up this window. If I start gnome-calculator from the terminal I get this:
