1) Is this on battery power or wall current?
2) What are you doing when the sound cuts out?
HP 15; ryzen 3 5300U APU; 500 Gb SSD; 8GB ram
HP 17; ryzen 3 3200; 500 GB SSD; 12 GB ram
Idea Center 3; 12 gen i5; 256 GB ssd;

In Linux, newer isn't always better. The best solution is the one that works.

I'm browsing the web browser, and every day the sound stops on the laptop.

the notebook is powered by the wall outlet

To get the sound back I have to restart the laptop every time, which is embarrassing.

I'm waiting for the solution, thanks

At the point where the sound cuts out and before rebooting, immediately generate a QSI report and post it here.

At the point where the sound cuts out and before rebooting, immediately generate a QSI report and post it here.

There is a printout where the QSI is located to report the sound being cut off at the moment.

I face this problem every day, the sound cuts off after 5 or 4 hours.

Thanks :fox:

looks like for some reason wireplumber crashes.

since you are running under sysVinit, the easies thing is to try

Code: Select all

pipewire-start
to restart the sound stack. run as regular user.

FYI: mx "test" repo is not the same thing as debian testing repo.
