MX23.5 xfce - Best / recommended way of running Android apk's?

#1 Post by madmax25 »

As I'm looking for a way to install and run apk's (Android apps) on MX 23.5 xfce with X11, what is the recommended way, please?
EDIT: I mean, which Android emulator would you recommend?

Dont know if you have already answered this.. but I used Android-x86 Emulator a while back in a VM and it worked very nicely ( i was on mx21, but I dont think that will matter.)

Waydroid, Android-x86 and AVD (Android Virtual Device ) are the 3 I see out there all the time, with pretty good reviews.
*QSI = Quick System Info from menu (Copy for Forum)
*MXPI = MX Package Installer
*Please check the solved checkbox on the post that solved it.
*Linux -This is the way!

For now waydroid seems the way to go. Though last time I tried waydroid its performance was quite poor on a i5 4570 and a 1050ti. Alternative android studio and create a blank machine, but its not made for this purpose.

PrimeOs, PhoenixOs, BlissOs - Neither have got an update in a long time.
Tencent Gameloop, Bluestacks, Memu - No native linux builds.
