Got this announcement that Debian 12.10 is slated to be released in Mar-2025. Currently the latest version of MX Linux is 23.5 which corresponds to Debian Bookworm 12.9 . So assuming that 12.10 goes to MX Linux 23.6 and post Debian bookworm 12.10, Debian 13.0 Trixie will be released, then will MX Linux 23.7 be Trixie or will MX Linux 25 be Trixie?

And will Trixie be based on 6.12 LTS kernel or on 6.6 LTS kernel?

Also since Debian Bookworm, on which MX Linux 23.x is based, will get LTS support till 2028, will MX Linux 23.x will continue to get support till 2028?

I am looking eagerly forward to MX Linux using either 6.12 or 6.6 as the kernel as well as KDE 6 along with QT6.

I doubt there will be 23.7 release of MX. If Debian follows their historic release schedule, Debian 13 AKA Trixie should be released in the late June - early July time frame. Once Trixie becomes final, the heavy work will start on MX 25 and we likely will see the first beta releases in September(?)

any update to mx23 will always be based on debian 12 bookworm.

mx25 will be debian 13 trixie based and will come when its ready. debian 13 is expected to use the 6.12 LTS kernel. no matter what kernel ships on an iso (and most will have whatever the debian kernel is), the debian kernels will be installable.

And MX point releases are in no way related to Debian point releases.
