#1 Post by EmilianoZapata »

Hi,

I installed OBS Studio to my Linux but it did not work so i wanted to uninstall it.I tried to uninstall it from Package Manager but I was not able to due to some errors.
Is there someone can help me to uninstall it?

Build it simple\ keep it simple\ let it work simple even if it is a complex issue because everybody deserves to understand information.

Please post your QSI. ( MX Menu, Quick System Info, Copy for Forum, Paste here )

And where did you install QBS studio from?
*QSI = Quick System Info from menu (Copy for Forum)
*MXPI = MX Package Installer
*Please check the solved checkbox on the post that solved it.
*Linux -This is the way!

"it didn't work" and "not able to due to some errors" are hopelessly vague. I had hoped by now you'd start proving more details in your questions.
MXPI = MX Package Installer
QSI = Quick System Info from menu
The MX Test repository is mostly backports; not the same as Debian testing

I am not a native speaker. May be it sounds you meaningless but another international speaker understands it. It is a language.

OBS did not work

Package Manager did not uninstall it

Which part did not make sense in your mind?

This is not a matter of language, it's a lack of any detail that could be used to diagnose a problem. "I am sick" is not enough information for a doctor to treat an illness and "it tasted good" is not enough information for a chef to recreate a dish. This community understands many languages, but we are not psychic.

There's a document called How To Ask Questions The Smart Way that may be helpful to you for getting your issue resolved. Particularly the section titled Be precise and informative about your problem.

I'll quote the most relevant part of it here:
  • Describe the symptoms of your problem or bug carefully and clearly.
  • Describe the environment in which it occurs (machine, OS, application, whatever). Provide your vendor's distribution and release level (e.g.: "Fedora Core 7", "Slackware 9.1", etc.).
  • Describe the research you did to try and understand the problem before you asked the question.
  • Describe the diagnostic steps you took to try and pin down the problem yourself before you asked the question.
  • Describe any possibly relevant recent changes in your computer or software configuration.
  • If at all possible, provide a way to reproduce the problem in a controlled environment.
There is still no clear set of steps you've outlined or an order of operations you are following that can be reproduced here. "OBS did not work" is about as helpful as telling a doctor "I am sick" and expecting an instant and correct diagnosis.

You've asked for help and have thus far only ignored requests for diagnostic information that might help you. You've providing nothing but surprise at the fact we haven't read your mind.

I could not find a way and just deleted it.
You are right about forum rules.
Thank you for explanation.

There is not unistall part in Package Installer, I do not know why but it looks in checkbox not installed.

If there will be someone in some problem, we will have the solution.
