A man with tickets to a concert was looking for directions to Carnegie Hall to see the show. He stopped a woman and asked her, "Excuse me, ma'am, how do I get to Carnegie Hall?"

To which she confidently told him: "Practice, practice, practice."

Nope, not at all
Go to the top menu "Image > Scale Image..." a window opens, input the size you want, good to know, at "Interpolation" select "NoHalo" or "LoHalo", if it's a picture

Nope not at all, you do not need to "unlock" anything in the layers' dialog on the right side, because by default it's not locked if "they" speak about layers, and the "Alpha channel" has nothing to do with moving a text, thus you do not lock the alpha channel, just use the move tool on an opaque part of the text and drag it to move it.

I am locking this topic now. We are not your Google, nor your teachers, we're not here to hold your hand to learn Gimp. We're a forum for MX Linux. I suggest visiting the Gimp forums for help with that.

Here is where you need to be: https://www.gimp-forum.net/

Thanks.
