MX 23.5 - Grub wasn't updated

#1 Post by Masi »

Hi all,

After the upgrading to MX 23.5 I was still seeing the GRUB start screen referring to MX 23.4. It was still showing MX 23.5 everywhere else, Not sure what was happening and if it is bug, but I was able to solve with the below:

Code: Select all

sudo update-grub

Re: MX 23.5 - Grub wasn't updated

#2 Post by Stuart_M »

This was addressed 14 October 2024 here viewtopic.php?p=794507#p794507. Perhaps the "Maybe a postinstall trigger with mx-system package, where the version number get adjusted, may help to trigger update-grub..." as stated in the linked post will occur sometime.
