After some poking around the net it seems that I may need to change kernal, up/down? I looked for some of those amdgpu/navi10-mesa with no luck.
One issue I considered was the computer is looking in wrong places after a check on it, here that info:

I'd love to utilize my ssd more and for better purpose. I dont need the apple stuff really and I assume the Microsoft is associated with Wine?
I can't adjust brightness, use a screen saver. The "night color control seems to work though.
