install onedrive

#1 Post by dutch2710 »

I was helped by the seller in many ways to install onedrive.
However both with using synaptic, packadge sources I am not able to see in my system the one drive option.
At first I instyalled one drive with sudo...
I did not see any drive to use.
Rhen I installed with synaptic.
No result.
After that I revoved the onedrive and installed again just using synaptic.
Again I could not find onedrive in my system.

Please help I must do something wrong.

Awaiting your reply

@dutch2710 Please do not tack onto old topics, start your own as you have different hardware and a different system.

Split off to start your own, your topic is now here.

In line with forum rules, please post your Quick System Info.

'onedrive' is available from the MX Package Installer, and is the preferred way to install new things. It is not a graphical program, so you have to start it from a terminal. Note I have no idea how to use it I'm afraid.

A "seller"? Perhaps someone that sold a computer with MX preinstalled, maybe...

What the terminal command say for

Code: Select all

apt policy onedrive
MXPI = MX Package Installer
QSI = Quick System Info from menu
The MX Test repository is mostly backports; not the same as Debian testing

Using the OneDrive Client for Linux

from the Onedrive program's author.

The only version this author states he supports (2.5.3-1) is the one in MX package Installer Test Repo. The one in Enabled Repos is now obsolete and unsupported - version: 2.4.23

You can also use rclone - it has onedrive support, and many other cloud providers, besides.

The webpage for Onedrive supports Drag-n-Drop. So, you can login on https://onedrive.com/ which sends you to https://onedrive.live.com/
