Htop F4 not working properly on MX-23.4_systemd_only_x64

#1 Post by berlin59 »

I don´t know when F4 on htop began to open a terminal-window, maybe one week ago.
The opened terminal-window doesn´t help me. I tried commands, but it isn´t of any use.

Before that it correctly displayed the input-line where the name of the selected app or process can be entered.
I cannot find a solution in forums about htop. All they explain is about htop, but nothing about the F4 (or other F on the keyboard).
I need F4 to kill apps.

I hope to get help here.
Thank you.

I need F4 to kill apps.
That's an keyboard application shortcut, which is making F4 to open xfce4-terminal:

That's one of those I need to get rid off or re-bind to another key-combo, not only needed for htop,
but also for mc "Midnight Commander". Similar F1 and F10 need to be reset or changed.

I run the 'system load monitor' panel addon for uptime only and point it to 'System Monitoring Center' which uses Ctrl+K. F4 opens terminal here too but I just like the simplicity of system monitor over htop.
Sys76 LemurPro-mx-23.4, EliteMinis HM90-mx-21.3, Deskmini UM350-phoenixLite win10, Qnap 12tb nas, Protectli FW4C-opnsense(=゜ω゜)

zero privacy = zero security . All MX'd Up
UAP = up above people

I removed the xfce4-terminal --drop-down shortcut and now htop works properly again.
Thank you very much.
Problem solved.
I am very impressed.
