Hi Lieve BE,

Have you actually installed the driver or just downloaded and extracted it?

To install the deb file you need to run this command in the terminal: 'dpkg -i <path to file>/cnijfiltr2_5.20-1_AMD64.deb' or if you prefer, open the terminal and use the cd command to navigate to the folder containing the deb file and run 'dpkg -i cnijfiltr2_5.20-1_AMD64.deb'.

If you have already done this, check 'Menu > Settings > Print Settings' where the printer should be listed. If it is listed and given a green tick, check 'Printer > View print queue' to see if there are aborted / unfinished jobs and erase them before trying again. If this does not work or the printer just does not show, you will need guidance from someone more expert than I am so hopefully such an expert will spot your post.

I note than Canon no longer support your printers Linux drivers so keep the scanner and printer driver safely backed up somewhere.

Cheers and good luck.

It worked with reinstalling the driver.
I don't know what the difference is with the driver that was already in there, because that was the same. But it works and that's the main thing!
Thank you!

Meanwhile there's a simpler way:

Right-click on deb file(s): "Install Deb Files".
