Nightcolors not automatically applied?

#1 Post by debianix »

Hello!

Hello!

I have recently installed a new graphics card, see here viewtopic.php?t=82841

Now the night colors in KDE are no longer activated automatically at system startup, although I have selected “always on”.

When I restart, the night colors are no longer active and when I go to the settings of KDE they are active there, and also the “apply” button is not pressable, means it should still be applied so saved.

Only when I move the slider for the color temperature back and forth are the night colors activated again.

Can anyone explain this?

How can I counteract this?

In the system settings under Autostart, “Automatic location for night colors” is set to “not started”, but cannot be started with the “play” symbol either. I have no idea whether this is even necessary.

I would be grateful for any tips.

I'm wondering because the drivers etc. should actually fit and the GPU also works great!
