Can I create live USB MX from my installed distro ?

#1 Post by beersloth »

Hi,

I like my installation's settings, tweaks, etc... I would like to populate the world or at least my laptops with this bliss. Can I do this ? I remember Peppermint Linux had a way of creating such a beast.

Thanks,

B

Yes, use MX Snapshot, it creates a .ISO. There are two main options "preserving accounts" and "resetting accounts". The first one is for personal use, your account and settings will be preserved, the second one is for distribution to others, it removes your account and resets it to the MX defaults, a new account would have those defaults (mostly specified in /etc/skel folder) but it would still have your choice of programs.
