Text banner during boot

#1 Post by Horace Warblehat »

Hi
After letting MX install the latest kernel, my system now boots with a scrolling text banner as part of the boot sequence in blue and white with "Debian Bookworm" near the bottom.
It scrolls up the screen, and reminds me a bit of the Minitel/Ceefax day of the 1980s and early 90s.
Does anyone know how to remove it and why it suddenly appeared?

What if you do this? (A temporary test):

Press E on Grub, go to bottom (using the arrow keys) : ... ro quiet splash ...

Change the splash to nosplash then press F10 (to go on boot).
