[Solved] Bluetooth Device not found (MX-21.3)

Hi all

This is my first question in this forum.

I have a new bluetooth adapter (usb) that seems to be recognized (I can activate it with blueman), but I cannont connect the earphones JLab Go Air Pop to it. Unfortunatly, this device is not found by blueman. I don't have other BT devices, therfore I am not abke to check if it works anyway.

I have tried to find some help in this forum, but could not find something. I have only found this in the Debian Wiki:

To be honest, I don't understand the instructions on tbis page.

Do I have install missing drivers or something like that?

If you're using kernel version > 5.16, this patch should already be working out of the box, you do not need to continue with this guide.

However: though it shows btusb as the driver, even the most recent (6.11) kernel doesn't list that chip number:

gives no output ...

( Although it looks like it's supported since 5.14 )

Your kernel is 5.10. You can still try with a 6.x kernel ...

Meanwhile: If you don't have such a file there, download this and put into: /usr/lib/firmware/rtl_bt/

Then reboot. If still not:

Reboot.

Besides the stock Bullseye 5.10 kernel you're running, the one that gets the most security updates will be the 6.1 backported from Bookworm, either in bullseye-backports or our AHS section. I'm doing the current 6.1.115 (6.1.0-27mx-ahs) as I type this.
