Probably yes. Best try it out, and let us know what's missing.bidral wrote: Fri Sep 20, 2024 9:11 am One of my friend want to use LinuxMint xfce. But she likes MX Linux's conky of my computer. Now she want the Conky with manager in her system Is it possible?
Re: MX Linux's Conky in LinuxMint xfce
LMDE (based on Debian instead of Ubuntu) is more likely to be compatible, though IDK if that has an XFCE edition.

The MX Test repository is mostly backports; not the same as Debian testing

LMDE uses Cinnamon for it's desktop but XFCE can be installed.Stevo wrote: Fri Sep 20, 2024 10:38 am LMDE (based on Debian instead of Ubuntu) is more likely to be compatible, though IDK if that has an XFCE edition.

This is my Fluxbox . There are many others like it, but this one is mine. My Fluxbox is my best friend. It is my life.
I must master it as I must master my life. Without me, my Fluxbox is useless. Without my Fluxbox, I am useless.

Re: MX Linux's Conky in LinuxMint xfce
Please tell me how to install mxlinux xfce conky on a linuxmint xfce machine?
Re: MX Linux's Conky in LinuxMint xfce
conky-manager is also available in the Mint system sources:bidral wrote: Fri Sep 20, 2024 9:11 am... she want the Conky with manager in her system Is it possible?
Code: Select all
sudo apt install conky-manager
you can simply copy your MX-script-folder to Mint-home/user/.conky/
Then select the copied script folder in Mint using conky manager.

Re: MX Linux's Conky in LinuxMint xfce
You will also have to check to see if the conky manager in Mint is the original one that cannot read the lua format style of conkies [all of MX's conkies are lua format], or if Mint's conky manager package is based on the newer fork Conky Manager 2, which MX is using.
If Mint's CM is the original one, it may not be able to detect any of the MX conkies at all.

Re: MX Linux's Conky in LinuxMint xfce
I would download and install the mx-conky and mx-conky-data debs in Mint using their deb installer, probably gdebi.

Re: MX Linux's Conky in LinuxMint xfce
Maybe also try installing our patched conky manager deb, then?
https://mxrepo.com/mx/repo/pool/main/c/conky-manager/
You want the "+4" version deb for MX 23/Bookworm.
