Checking Elive Linux distribution - Why the system connected to the network without pdoing the password

Hi, have any of you ever used Elive Linux? A colleague hinted to me about it. i wanted to check for myself how it looks like. I got a big surprise when, after booting the system, I found that the network works without a password, and in the settings there is my password. How is this possible if I did not enter a password? Did it read from the Mx installation? What is this all about someone is able to explain it to me rationally?

Needs more info. Did you install it? Same drive? Different drive? Running live?

It's a live system. When starting the script, it asked if it should search for a network. I agreed. After 30 seconds it informed that it could not get a connection, to then display a desktop with a working network....

Objectively, this is an MX Linux forum. If anyone here has expertise in Elive Linux I'm sure they'll pipe up in this thread, but if I own a BMW and it starts making a noise under the hood, I don't take it to a Mercedes dealership to get an objective opinion on what might be causing it. Find the experts who made the thing you're using and ask them how the thing they made works.

I think the thing got access to where your password is stored on MX. That is what I think is at the base of this.


Also.. when asked to share QSI, share the FULL thing. Not just a part of it.

Ok I will correct it. Actually when I changed the password in the router but did not save in Mx, Elive did not know the password. When I saved the new password in Mx, then Elive knew it. I have the Mx password set only for me, so its value should be hashed it seems to me? In that case, can the Elive system so easily get full access to the Mx and find all the data? I don't like this kind of operation of elive.
