Add Download Only option MXPI

This might not be that common of an action to be worth adding, but was wondering if anyone would think that it would be useful to add a “Download Only” option to MXPI.

As it states this would allow .deb packages, more specifically applications with all required dependencies for them, to be downloaded only, not installed.

It would most likely need to be a visible check box, so user can see that they have it activated or not.

Maybe user can be allowed to assign a custom path to download to? If not could use the “archives” folder where .deb files are currently downloaded & installed from.

This is only feature I can think of that Synaptic has over MXPI.
I would prefer to use MXPI for everything, if possible.

Of course I unfortunately need this now so will have to use Synaptic, if something like this was added would probably need to wait for a future release of MX, but still could be useful for those who require this in the future. Again just depends on how common this action is to other users?

Would like to hear others opinions if anyone has any.
Thank you to anyone who reads this and for considering this option to be added.

What's the use case? in 20 years of using Linux I don't think I've even downloaded .debs when I could just install them, do you want to get them and use them on another machine that doesn't have Internet access? This seems like a very limited use case, not sure I will add that feature only for that, there are other tools for that.
