is MX Linux SystemD stable?

Hi Guys,

I have just tried migrating to MX Linux, but I'm having trouble running FortiClient VPN. When I run it, it only shows a blank screen. This can be solved if I log in with the advanced option and enter MX Linux with systemd during the initial boot. If I set the default MX Linux systemd as the main boot option, will there be any system performance issues?

Currently, I only use Firefox, GIMP, Inkscape, VS Code, DBeaver, and MariaDB.

Please share your experience
Thank You

Have you tried it out when you get in the boot menu as the system starts? Advanced, and then tick the option there. It'll boot into regular boot next time that way, unless you set it to be the default in the boot options.

Try it, and see for yourself :)

Welcome to the forum.

There will be no performance hit running those programs.

Thank you all for your sharing, I’m glad to hear it. Honestly, I chose MX Linux because of its stability and speed, so I’m happy to know that running on systemd doesn’t cause any issues and its speed remains consistent.
