Microsoft Copilot (AI software) -- cannot disable nor remove

Posted: Sun Jun 02, 2024 10:22 am

Microsoft provides documentation for the Windows version only, as far as removing/disabling

Wherever I press ESC key in the wonderful MX-Linux 23 XFCE, it brings up Copilot and does not recognize ESC key for the application I'm in.

I wish to remove Copilot entirely, or at least disable it.

Cheers

Are you running Windows in a VM or something?

Is this a dual boot?
Edited to add: Are you running MX from within Windows 11?

Foolish human, why should you want to remove a wonderful AI?

Just let us handle everything from now on!

I'm assuming you installed the snapd package of copilot.
Run

Code: Select all

snap list
That will show the full name of the copilot package, after which you run

Code: Select all

sudo snap remove name-of-package
If you downloaded the AppImage version instead, you can just delete that file.
