Can anyone tell me why at the start of my system, I'm asked for my password? and how do I stop it?

Assuming you're not talking about an encrypted partition: "MX User Manager" from menu, "Options" tab, check to enable autologin for that user.

If your running XFCE, then run MX User Manager in the menu, then on the Options tab, choose your user and click on login Automatically.

oh btw i forgot to say it's Vivaldi that asks at startup. I know it is easy to throw in pwd but it's just a thing for me

Do you automatically login to your desktop? If so, this is what worked for me using Vivaldi.
