Problem getting sound through NVIDIA
Posted: Fri Apr 05, 2024 1:16 pm
I recently purchased a Dell Optiplex system with an NVIDIA card and just connected my speakers to the HDMI monitor. I can boot the computer in either Windows 10 or MX Linux.
In Win 10 the speakers work, but they don't in the Linux boot. My system configuration is as follows:
I have tried switching to the NVIDIA card via the alsamixer but that had no effect. Can anyone offer some guidance? Thanks in advance.
John
