Long reboot/shutdown delay with plymouth message

Hi all,

In the last few days, I've had a recurring issue whenever I'm rebooting or shutting down. It doesn't happen every single time, but at least every 3-4 times, and I'm not able to pinpoint what triggers it.

The message I get, when I press Esc to see why the delay, is only these two lines:

Code: Select all

] Started plymouth-r...ow Plymouth Reboot Screen.
] Job session-2.scope/stop running (40s / no limit)
The seconds number changes, of course, but after 1 minute and 30 seconds, the machine reboots or shuts down fine.

I am using the 6.7.10-3-liquorix-amd64 kernel

Thanks for any help on this!

if you still have your previous kernel loaded, see if that one has this issue too. There appears to be a few people on the 6.7.x kernel with some shutdown issues.

And Please post your QSI ( MX Menu | Quick System Info | Copy for Forum | paste here )

Update:

So, I just shut it down (same kernel) and it shut down normally; I then rebooted it, and it rebooted normally.

I have no idea what is triggering the issue mentioned in this post. No external HDs or USBs attached, no peripherals or networked drives either.
