Is this a possible upgrade for MX 23.2 64Bit?
Current version: stable@2023.11.16 from yt-dlp/yt-dlp
Latest version: stable@2024.03.10 from yt-dlp/yt-dlp

(current Python version is 3.11.2, if that matters)

Thanks!!

Well, for MX23

using MX Package Installer for yt-dlp:
enabled 2023.07.06 -1~mx23+1
test 2023.12.30 -1~mx23+1
Debian 2024.03.10 -1~bpo12+1

Is something not working correctly for you with the current version you have?

Well actually I also have an installation of Ubuntu 20.04, and yt-dlp there was updated to the March 2024 version.
I would prefer to keep parity between the Ubuntu and MX 23.2 versions (of yt-dlp) if possible.
If this poses a problem then forget I asked...

Thanks for your attention.

You can get 2024.03.10 from Debian backports. No need to package the same version in MX Test.

@MadMax
With a little bit of repository juggling upgraded yt-dlp to stable@2024.03.10
This solved a 400 error when downloading from yt.
Thanks
