Hi.
I convinced my friend to use Linux. She decided to try MX 23 KDE on virtual box. After successful installation, she was getting error when using Discover to update system.
So, I went to check. Discover was showing an error that certain MX repo ending with ".in" domain wasn't available. Due to which programs like MX Tools were not showing in the Discover to update
I opened MX repo manager and no MX repo was selected at all and the ".in domain" repo wasn't even showing. I selected her the fastest US repo based on our location and system updated successfully.
I couldn't understand what initially happened. Maybe she was using a vpn on host PC that was pointed to a foreign ip address or she accidentally selected the wrong time zone which caused it. Because, she did ask me later on how to change time.
So, I wanted to share this. Perhaps, it is a bug in repo manager or maybe in the update mechanism which selects a ".in domain" mx repo which doesn't exist.
