Maybe try arp-scan( to be installed):jbander wrote: Wed Jan 24, 2024 12:25 am I have a canon ts702a and it doesn't show up on the Avahi
$ avahi-browse --all -t -r
Code: Select all
sudo arp-scan --interface=eth0 --localnet
Hello jbander
You have not stated if you followed the directions. I am literally just copying and pasting from the link given:jbander wrote: Wed Jan 24, 2024 4:22 pm On https://ij.manual.canon/ij/webmanual/Ma ... 01_04.html The three places were it says IP address 3-2-12 3-3-9 4-4 have no address listed.
Read, understand, and follow the instructions of the equipment you have purchased. You paid the company to write them, may as well use them.Check that printer is turned on.
Load three sheets of A4 or Letter-sized plain paper.
Press Setup button.
The Setup menu screen appears.
Select Device settings and press OK button.
Select LAN settings and press OK button.
Select Print LAN details and press OK button.
The printer starts printing the network setting information.
The following information on the printer's network setting is printed out. (Some setting values are not displayed depending on the printer settings.)
Yes this is what I did it prints out 3 pages and as I said the three places that IP address can and should be listed i s 3-2-12 and 3-3-9 and 4-4 and there is no IP address listed. on any of these points.DukeComposed wrote: Wed Jan 24, 2024 9:59 pmYou have not stated if you followed the directions. 1) for what do you need to know your printer's IP Address?
2) Is this printer connected to your PC with a USB cable (Avahi results seem to suggest it)?
Slight problem I have no clue what that even means. Don't know what long information is and Have no clue what code tags are.CharlesV wrote: Wed Jan 24, 2024 4:24 pm @jbander This is the second time you have been asked / told to put long information in posts into code tags.
