When opening a pdf file with mupdf-gl it only shows page 1 and crashes
Code: Select all
$ mupdf-gl
warning: This version of MuPDF has been built WITHOUT clipboard or unicode input support!
warning: Please file a complaint with your friendly local distribution manager.
warning: ICC support is not available

"Viewers
For Linux and Windows there are two viewers. One is a very basic viewer using x11 and win32, respectively. It has been supplanted by a newer viewer using OpenGL for rendering, which has more features such as table of contents, unicode search, etc. We keep the old viewers around for older systems where OpenGL is not available."
it should have been built with clipboard and unicode support.
P.S.: Is there any GUI for mupdf on Linux similar to Sumatra PDF?

Hello
This is not a fix for your problem, rather a potential work-around:
For PDF files I use the KDE program "Okular", which I install as a Flatpak. You may wish to consider trying it if you need more than the MX-Linux "qpdfview" can do.

I appreciate your response. I prefer lightweight app. I like mupdf more than poppler. There's an old poppler vs mupdf debate. There was a plugin to use mupdf in qpdfview on the MX 21, but it is not available on the MX 23.
Can I request a package with this plugin for MX 23?

I found this:
muPDF WASM viewer demo.

Did you install the mupdf from the MX Package Installer? Seems to work great for me. And I believe there is a python viewer for it. (but if your wanting light ... )

Yes, mupdf is ok, but mupdf-gl is not. It's incredible that there isn't a GUI for mupdf officially supported in Debian.

I believe the mupdf plugin for qpdfview is obsolete. Is there any way to mark the topic as unsolved?
Thanks
