MX-23 Repository: The wine-staging thread

wine-staging-8.14 is now in test.
What's new in this release:
- PCSC framework used on macOS for smart card support.
- Dumping of Windows registry files in WineDump.
- Fixes for Wow64 window messages.
- Various bug fixes.

wine-staging-8.15 is now in test.
What's new in this release:
- Support for TEXT print processor.
- Cycle Collection support in MSHTML.
- Cross-process memory notifications in Wow64.
- Various bug fixes.

wine-staging-8.18 is now in test.
What's new in this release:
- Bundled FluidSynth library for DirectMusic.
- More window management in the Wayland driver.
- More effect support in Direct3D 10.
- Various bug fixes.

pardon me, its early in the morning, crossposting

Just tried my main windows programs (jpg-illuminatot, noiseware pro, photo-zoom pro) all image editing, no idea how it looks with other applications :-)
my working horse Desktop AMD Ryzen 9 3900x, 32GB Ram // SSD ... enough
mx-fluxbox, what else?

In nature there are neither rewards nor punishments.
There are consequences.

wine-staging-8.19 is now in test. This release will bring in a new wine-mono8.1.0.
What's new in this release:
- Mono engine updated to version 8.1.0.
- More DirectMusic implementation.
- Various bug fixes.

- Protocol associations exported to the Unix desktop.
- Code cleanups in preparation for code freeze.

Back to 8.12, the only Windows program I really need and use on a daily basis, jpg-illuminator (image editing), no longer works.
The fact that other programs still work is irrelevant, I have all Linux programs as "replacements" for them
Too bad

This is not due to Wine, but to the program

Try using mx package installer to search for, select and install winehq-staging to upgrade to the latest wine-staging. winehq-staging will drag along with it everything you need. - mike
