SD card reader LED was out, as compared to on continually from login screen forward, until I inserted an SD card and now the light blinks continually, whether there is a card in the reader or not.
Same as with RC2 there is no sound even after selecting the sound card in MX Tools. Looks like I will have to apply the same fix as I did with RC1 and RC2. Any ideas why this is an ongoing issue with this unit?
Install was smooth and fast.

Re: MX-23 RC3 (Xfce) Feedback thread
Issues with hibernation that where not there in RC2.
Set hibernation using MX Tweaks in MX Tools. Reboot, get to the desktop, check for updates and then select Hibernation in the Log Out screen. Shows the screensaver for a few moments, lights flash (hdd access, etc), screen goes black then a moment later the screensaver comes on then goes to the Log In screen.
EDITI forgot to add that after the failed hibernation, there is no longer a hibernation button on the Log Out screen. Reboot and the hibernation button is back on the Log Out screen.END EDIT

Re: MX-23 RC3 (Xfce) Feedback thread
Hi guys and gals,
Just want to say thanks for MX-23. My 78 year old mother installed it on a Lenovo Carbon X1 Gen 6 with myself guiding the installation over the phone with the help of the MX User Manual. I've no significant issues to report (she had MX-18 on a T420s for the past 5 years. For my part, I'm a Debian user for >20 years).
My mom shared her experience after wiping Windows 10 completely. This is what she said:
"You get the feeling that you're part of something intelligent and all-embracing. And that your not just a would be consumer of all kinds of rubbish at the whim of Microsoft. You feel a sense of belonging and that its not out to use you, and manipulate you for its own ends. You feel a sense of gratitude and that you're in a safe space, in the hands of people you can rely on and depend on."
Consequently, I'm about to flash MX-23 onto an old 4gb machine for my girlfriend who has no prior experience with computers. Much obliged to the MX Linux and Debian focus groups

Tell your mother to set up an account here.
HP 15; ryzen 3 5300U APU; 500 Gb SSD; 8GB ram
HP 17; ryzen 3 3200; 500 GB SSD; 12 GB ram
Idea Center 3; 12 gen i5; 256 GB ssd;
In Linux, newer isn't always better. The best solution is the one that works.

Re: MX-23 RC3 (Xfce) Feedback thread
i am so happy for her. she is one eloquent lady too! tell her welcome! so far i installed the rc1 on 3 laptops - thinkpads x280, x220 and yesterday on an old x201 - updated everything along the way and just did todays and so far not one issue at all. stuff actually works better than on mx21. Knock on wodd - my head.
install was from a dvd iso and done via a cheapo older usb cd/dvd writer /reader. suspend works and i never use hibernate so never checked that - sorry.
nice work!

suspend works wkthout any issue, but it needs a lot of batterie
after 1 day, full loaded batterie is empty
if that would be better i would use supend...
