Hi.

Lately, everytime I tried to use Youtube Downloader to download an entire playlist (literally no matter what settings I use),
I always get this following error. Failed! Recheck input for errors.

Have you tried installing ClipGrab?

I just download clipgrab and it works great. A very good alternative.

Maybe provide complete terminal output showing command used.
Did you use yt-dl or yt-dlp as I think yt-dl is defunct or extremely sloooooooooow.

Sadly, no. So far youtube-DL-gui which I use for downloading from "other" sites, works great in all the ways you seek, but will not work with .. ironically, youtube.com!
Youtube Downloader used to work with youtube.com but some times it would fail randomly or would try and download in a video format you did not want, and the download would get stuck due to the file size being just too big or invalid, for that particular link. Also, you chose mp4 as the type and mkv would be the only available format that link would finally download as or worse, webm format! Clipgrab I can confirm, does work with youtube.com but does not work with playlists no. The app is slow and requires to fetch the link info first, then the "grab!" button is enabled. Sometimes you get a "starting" on the link download after saving it to your preferred spot and specifying the format,etc, but gets stuck in the "starting" and either never downloads the file or downloads it but you do not see the result until it shows "converting" and you get the file finished downloading popup. Annoyances to say the least. But, I live with it as it is the only app that works. You just need to download each file one by one.. no other choice right now with clipgrab. My clipgrab uses yt-dlp btw. The youtube downloader also uses yt-dlp hence why it works with youtube.com just erratic in its format download. My faster for other sites downloader youtube-DL-GUI is still using youtube-dl(the really old plugin!). Like @MXRobo says, check which plugin you have for youtube downloader.. yt-dl ot yt-dlp?

How about MiniTube and SMTube from the repos?

FWIW, I'm porting over Tartube 2.4.386 for our repos, too.

Here's TarTube and a necessary python3-pysound package if you want to try them before they make it to the repo.

In my quick research on the Googs, yt-dlp used as the engine in TarTube is supposed to be able to download YT playlists.
Bear in mind that YT can break this at any time, and has done so often in the past.
