(refurbished) Skippy-xd as Exposé

Hi there,

I know for many purists things like exposé are "bling bling" on a linux desktop ;-).. whatever - I like it and I missed the good old skippy-xd since my great times with Crunchbang. Now I found coincidentally a .deb file with a further development (fix) that actually works. So here it is:

https://launchpad.net/~batra3/+archive/ ... al_all.deb

To enable exposé mode, position the Expose.desktop launcher that comes with the .deb onto the desktop, into a dock, or onto a panel. Then click on it
You can also run the skippy-xd-fix command by binding it to a key or key combination (see in settings > keyboard).
skippy-xd (without the suffix '-fix') run the classical version of skippy-xd, without the fix.

To modify the config file skippy-xd.rc (wich manages the appearance) :
mkdir ~/.config/skippy-xd/ && cp /etc/xdg/skippy-xd.rc ~/.config/skippy-xd/
then modify the config file.

Cheers,
Göran

I also liked to use skippy-xd in the past, but it worked only limited under mx21.
In dual monitor mode, only the content of the monitor with the mouse focus was displayed and applications on other workspaces were not displayed either.
This is a "later" development, works also in dual monitor mode and shows also applications on other workspaces.

Nice, skippy-xd is back ;-}
