Old laptop I had to dig out of storage because my main died. When booting up linux, for some reason it switched from the default desktop (xcf or whatever it is called) to something weird that I really can't use easiliy.
How to change the theme in MX quickly and easily to reset it back to the original?

Important information
--If in starting your system it boots to an unwanted Desktop, right click desktop, then select leave and logout. At the
login screen there is a session chooser at the top of the screen. Choose the session you want (probably Xfce) and log back in. the choice will be sticky.

Remember, you have to die until someone finds the time to respond. Until that happens, please don't die in repetitive posts, thanks.

Easiest solution is to backup all your data (including all of your bookmarks and passwords in your browser). Then write down all the programs you need on a piece of paper.
Your old laptop likely needs a re-install to the latest version of MX Linux, so download the iso, and either use MX's live USB installer, or use Rufus if your're doing it in Windows. Then do the install, restore, and you're all set!
