Newsboat latest version is 2.30.1, and the version in mx repo is 2.21.0:

Curious: even Debian Experimental (sid) only has 2.21-1.5. Made me wonder if problems Debian has found problems with more recent releases. so checked this page:

That 2.21-1.5 version can be installed with MX Package Manager.
There is a 2.30 snap available, if you are willing to use systemd: https://snapcraft.io/newsboat

I am using systemd but i don't like snaps or flatpaks. I guess i will try to compile it.
