We need your computer’s complete profile before we can diagnose a problem like this, so you need to post the output from the QSI utility. The Quick System Info (QSI) utility is located in MX Tools and its output is automatically formatted for use here in the forum. Run the QSI utility, click “Copy for Forum” at the bottom and then just paste it here in your thread.
Per Forum Rules
HP 15; ryzen 3 5300U APU; 500 Gb SSD; 8GB ram
HP 17; ryzen 3 3200; 500 GB SSD; 12 GB ram
Idea Center 3; 12 gen i5; 256 GB ssd;

In Linux, newer isn't always better. The best solution is the one that works.

Code: Select all

sudo dpkg --configure -a
(If it returns quickly with no output: everything's fine, nothing to (re)configure).

Hi Huckleberry Finn, thank you very much
I sent the command and nothing came back, but often with 8 open tabs in firefox I lose control of firefox, the mouse doesn't activate, and I can't change the tabs by left clicking on them but I also have to click after the right click, I thought I had some damaged package, at this point I don't know what to think, many thanks for the help, using Ubuntu for years it was easier to manage the control here, not being very familiar with commands, I found myself in difficulty on what to do and thank you for the help even if it will become difficult to understand why firefox at some point no longer responds

It could be dirty/tarnished contacts inside you mouse. I have one Logitech wireless mouse that makes the desktop behave the same way. It looks like it's working but the clicks don't always take effect - and sometimes Right-click/Left-click will "unstick" it. I'll eventually replace it but it's on a spare machine so no hurry.

I also use a logitech mouse, I'll try to open it and give it a clean, thanks a lot for the suggestion and thanks to all for the support

There were complaints about FF v. 110 (crashes etc.). Also you can disable hardware acceleration from its settings and try.
