Trouble with live usb
Trouble with live usb
When I create a live usb on my laptop, it won't run on my desktop due to the
difference in monitors. Is there a work around?
Thanks

Re: Trouble with live usb
How are you creating it? I've never seen that happen when the device was created with MX's Live USB Maker or Rufus on Windows.shellback wrote: Tue Feb 28, 2023 10:35 am When I create a live usb on my laptop, it won't run on my desktop due to the

Also, we need your computer’s complete profile before we can diagnose a problem like this, so you need to post the output from the QSI utility. The Quick System Info (QSI) utility is located in MX Tools and its output is automatically formatted for use here in the forum. Run the QSI utility, click “Copy for Forum” at the bottom and then just paste it here in your thread.

Re: Trouble with live usb
Do you mean instead that you are creating a snapshot?
Re: Trouble with live usb
I created a snapshot on the laptop.
Then I created a live usb from the iso
The live usb boots and runs fine on the laptop
On the desktop it hangs right after the udev done
There's a brief message pertaining to the monitor settings.

Re: Trouble with live usb
Can you check /var/log/dmesg and /var/log/syslog? (the new Quick System Info should be able to display the logs too)
