Hi All,

I recently installed MX - Linux again along side Nitrux and the internet works fine on that.
I followed Huckleberry fins and 2McGregs advice which worked for a couple of weeks then the internet stopped, whts showing is VPN highlighted
Ethernet showing but not highlighted
Wireless connection not visable
Any advice would be appreciated

Based on my own recent experiences which are detailed here:

https://forum.mxlinux.org/viewtopic.php ... 54#p712954

I suggest that you use MXPI to install the Debian 5.10 kernel, reboot, at the Grub screen select Advanced Options and then the 5.10 kernel as your boot choice. If this solves your problem, you cab make it permanent with the Boot Options utility in MX Tools.

I know that this is an extremely small sample size of just you and me, but I think the possibility exists that HP's network architecture doesn't work properly with the latest kernels that MX has available.

So, it was this thread, but we need to understand if it's another issue now (it was a dns problem then)

https://forum.mxlinux.org/viewtopic.php ... 67#p711267

(Therefore a new, fresh qsi would be better to see the current situation)

As the first thing: Right-click on Network icon and see if they are all checked: "Enable ...".

Hi all,
Thanks for your help again, in answer to your questions as i had no internet i was unable to download anything thats why i was stuck, regards to Huckleberry fins question i was okay for about two weeks then the same thing happened again lost connection but showing in the panel. I then lost the panel icons for ethernet and wireless, after reading peoples questions regarding the same issue as mine i decided to reinstall the 64 bit AHS KDE version today and everything has been restored and working so we will see how this goes on.
Great OS System, great response from the forum support.
