Another tacticool wallpaper brought to you by yours truly. Probably the last one I'll do for this theme since I'm sure a lot of people here probably don't care for it.

That is VERY cool!!

Looks great IMO. The dark background works well with colored Conky themes. I like the rough look reminds me of Fallout games.

That's exactly the kind of background I like. Keep it up. Would be good for grub and plymouth too.

I think it pleasantly compliments the "pretty in pink" imagery of MX21.
It adds a dash of, can I state it?, masculinity to the pink, can I state this too?, dash of femininity.
If anyone objects to the terms - I apologise. I meant no harm in advance ... stream of consciousness reaching for the most obvious, if dated, terms

However ... in general I don't think it does any harm to soften the out of box install imagery - I mean the pretty in pink is really outstanding.

I'm not on the team and can't speak for them but I just personally prefer it and have adopted it for my own MX related pursuits, that may not be a good enough reason at this point for you to bother making a change and I can completely understand that..

I get sick easily and I'm actually vulnerable to pressure, so
I took it easy for a while.

Simple and cool.
It is a wallpaper in the style of Arnox.
I need to learn this style.

I hardly ever use a background picture for my desktop, and I am normally not a big fan of dark themes, so I am not really one to ask, but I still care about it and I think it is very important that we have a lot of backgrounds for almost any taste.
There are so many great pictures but after a while I always take them away because they are too disturbing when I have to read the icons.
Your picture is actually "silent" enough to be usable, and for that I want to give you maximum points.

Freja I'm sorry to hear that, please don't take the discussion of your work as critical, people have different visions and are passionate about art so even though the discussion may get intense the intention is not to do harm and when the discussion cools so does the intensity. The quality of your work took me from not liking the traditional MX Logo much at all to really liking your interpretation of it, you completely changed my mind. So when you have a good idea stick with it!

+1 on @AVLinux Freja.. your work is great! and as an artist you should realize that different people will see things differently. Do NOT let words and perception get to you, the REAL issue is what you enjoy - If your passionate about what you do... you should do it!

For me in my work, its "Take a breath, realize WHO your dealing with, and how good you are!" The rest... meh! shake it off.

To add to the last two comments. Please do not feel pressure. You need not jump to every suggestion that is made to make modifications. Also there is no time pressure either.

After looking back on this image, I decided I could do a better job! Last time, I really wanted to get something out in time for the MX23 release, but now that that's done, I decided to see if I could improve it and check to see if everyone else prefers this version or the old version. For this one I added more natural wear and softness to the "white paint" on the metal.

Nice! It's a more natural synthesis.

@Arnox idk.. its hard to improve on perfection!

Personally... I think the very first one was the best. To me, it looks like a real piece of steel, with character, use and logo.

This one is good ... VERY good and I am going to be putting this one side by side and using BOTH changing every so often (something I NEVER do ...) to see if I can actually make a choice ... but so far.. the first one :-)
