AV Linux - Automount NTFS Partition and some questions

#1 Post by stefan-franz »

Hello,
i found no way to do this - so i installed the gnome disk utility and that works (which is used in Linux Mint).
Is there a option in AV Linux to do that with the board apps?
My NTFS partition have to mounted as home/stefan/WinD automatically after login.

2nd question
The Thunar file manager: Is it possible to set bookmarks like in the Gnome Nemo?

Thanks in advance, Stefan

Disk Manger has two main usage target:

* mount manually a partition with some click on a selectabel mount point (directory)

* make this mount permanent to get mounted a boot up, by genrating "auto-mount" entries
within /etc/fstab file.

Just a tiny note for everyone by the way:

In case you manage to do it, check this (it may be staying as "default" or "unknown driver") and (if so) change to "ntfs-3g - Read-write ..." .

I installed the Gnome Disk Utility at the very first using AVLinux - this is plug and play. And works normal. I know it from Linux Mint.

I didn't see at the disk Manager from AV Linux any option to mount at start....

Yes, nice tool main usage rather like Gparted with a ability to prepare fstab-entries.

The lines which are "ticked" do get/have an entry in /etc/fstab, which makes the system to mount those at boot.
