MX wont starting correctly

Hello everyone,
Since yesterday my computer didn't start correctly.
I think the problem came with an update crash.
When I switch on , I show the MX startup screen. Then a black screen with prompt (-). I can't type everything (but when I plug an USB device or when I start WiFi I see a message on screen. But still can't type..)
I restart with an liveusb to backup my data (so this is safe!)
Is it a way to try to start without any option ?

Ok.. Do you have Nvidia card and installed Nvidia driver (last time) ? .. Or just updates.. ?

Till then you can do this:

Boot with the live usb, then start "Chroot Rescue Scan" from menu. Proceed (press Enter when it finds your installed MX)

Then it'll look like a terminal with this prompt

dpkg --configure -a

Then (issue exit and) close that, and open GParted from menu then right-click on MX partiton(s) : "Check".
