Firefox freezes

#1 Post by snl »

Hi,

recently (2 months) firefox started freezing randomly. Maybe once every hour or two. The displayed pages will stop scrolling. I always have to close firefox and start again. The system continues to run normally.

I completely uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox (also deleted the profile and set everything again manually).
I tried GSmartControl some quick test and all OK. (SSD)

Do you think it makes sense to try the ESR version of Firefox?

Thanks, SNL

Have you tried disabling "hardware acceleration" in its settings?

Also (though this may not be the culprit) nothing to lose: https://forum.mxlinux.org/viewtopic.php ... 66#p664466
